Anti-Social Behaviour - Wirksworth Edition

Hello All

It has been brought to our attention that there are groups of people - (age range unknown) that are wandering around Wirksworth knocking and kicking on doors, then running off.

Firstly we would like to ask any parents and guardians if you believe that your children could be involved in such behaviour and to any adults thinking that it is ok - to please stop now. We have to consider that we do no know who is behind that door and you may not realise that you could cause criminal damage - resulting in us knocking on your door, if found out.

Secondly, for those that are experiencing these issues to please not answer your door, those causing the issues are wanting a reaction from you and get excited at the thought that you have reacted, resulting in them wanting to do it more - not giving them the time of day will result in them getting bored and will leave you alone.

We will be patrolling more frequently to stop such behaviour and dealing with anyone found to be acting in an anti-social manner accordingly.
 
If anyone has any information or CCTV of anyone in the area doing such behaviours to contact us via email on MNT@derbyshire.police.uk or though here and we will get back to you asap.
